Good Afternoon, Everyone!

What Am I Currently Reading?

As you can see by the photo, I'm still reading N024A2 by Joe Hill, which I had to rechecked out at my local library just a few days ago. I'm currently on page 477 (a.k.a. 60% read according to Goodreads). I would like to finish the book by Tuesday!! The AMC television series based on the book starts June 2nd!!!

In the Mail

Courtesy of Bethany House, I received the historical fiction tale "The Number of Love" by Roseanna M. White in the mail yesterday. Additionally, I was also sent the Blu-rays How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and A Vigilante last week.

New on My Bookshelf

I went to the same thrift store twice this week. On my first visit I found the vinyl soundtracks for Stand By Me and 2001: A Space Odyssey for 50 cents each! During my second trip, I picked up four books: 2010: Odyssey Two by Arthur C. Clarke, World War Z by Max Brooks, Emily's Quest by L.M.Montgomery, and Emily Climbs by L.M. Montgomery.

  1. Funny thing, I had Joe Hill's book on my tbr and I deleted it just yesterday. And now knowing a series is coming out will have me adding it again.

    1. Yes, I'm liking it so far. I read Horns by Joe Hill a few years ago and I didn't care much for it.

    1. It only feels weird if you go to the theater to see a kid's movie. That's why I wait until the movies comes out on DVD or Blu-ray.

  4. Don't you love the license plate title? I am finally reading The Haunting of Hill House. Wow, Jackson was such a talented wordsmith!

  5. I'm kicking myself that we didn't catch Hidden World at the cinema, we've loved all the films (and series) to date; I'll have to buy it on Blue-Ray.

I hope you have a great week, Billy and get to finish NOS4A2.

    1. I don't go to the movie theaters very often. And when I do, I never to go to see kid's movies. I don't have any children, so it would be a little awkward for me to see an animated movie on the big screen. I'll have to stick with DVDs and Blu-rays.

The Hidden World is good. I'll probably be writing my review for it tonight or sometime tomorrow. I haven't seen the Netflix series yet.

    1. I've never read any of the Space Odyssey novels. I believe there are four books in the series. I have seen the 2001 and 2010 movies.
