  Billy's Answer

It really depends if the book is a personal read or a review read. If I bought the book or checked it out at a library, then more than likely I might quit reading it if I don't like it. If I had received the book from an author or publisher, I would probably just push myself to continue reading it, so I can review it properly; though it would be a negative review.

  1. I'm mostly the same, though if it's a review book and I am really not liking it, I'm not going to force myself to finish it. Part of my review policy is being honest about the books I receive to review and if I am not liking it, other readers might not like it either and I want them to be informed. Too many times I picked up a hyped book that I was the total opposite on in that I really didn't like it.

  2. I'm pretty stubborn about DNFing. I'm trying to get better at it! :)

  3. I try to read to the very end of every book but if I'm not enjoying it, I tend to skim read, unless it's an ARC or Beta Read job. I'm the eternal optimist - hoping a story will get better. ;-)

  4. Ha! I entered my name wrong and couldn't remove it, but the link works! I enjoyed participating this week! And definitely having a problem with DNFing books. Thanks for the fun!

  5. I always try to finish, but, as you say, the reason for reading could also be an important factor.

  6. That is a good answer. Regardless of the manner in which I receive the book, if I can't keep reading, I am done.

I adore reading reader feedback! I will, however, remove all spam and pointless comments.
