Good Evening, Everyone!

What Am I Currently Reading?

My reading plans for last week didn't go as planned. I just started reading The Passage a few days ago and I'm still reading the anthology Flight or Fright. However, I did read the eBook The Curse of Misty Wayfair by Jamie Jo Wright. Then I went back and reread The Making of Mrs. Hale by Carolyn Miller, which I had originally read in early December. When I went to write the review for it, I couldn't remember anything about it. With everything that was going on in December, I guess my mind wasn't really focused on the story. I will be writing my reviews for the eBooks in the next few days. My plan for this week is to finish reading both The Passage and Flight or Fright, and then begin reading The Twelve (book two in the Passage trilogy).

Last Week's Reviews

The Silhouette Girl
(Winter Reads)

Halloween (2018)
(Midnight Horror Review)

In the Mail

Since I had never heard back the publisher about reviewing the recently released The Slayer, I went ahead and ordered the book from Amazon.com, which arrived on my doorsteps last Sunday! I was a big Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan during my teenage years, so I'm looking forward to reading this new spinoff. The only review title in the mail last week was Between Two Shores by Jocelyn Green, a historical fiction set during the Seven Year's War.

New On My Bookshelf

I picked up three books at a thrift store: Give Yourself Goosebumps: Night in Werewolf Woods by R.L. Stine; Last of the Breed by Louis L'Amour; and Nightmare House by Douglas Clegg.

New on my Kindle is the Prime First Reads eBook "The Perfect Child," by Lucinda Berry.

  1. The Passage sounds so interesting I got it free on audible but haven't had time to start it yet. I hope you enjoy it. Anne - Books of My Heart

  2. Slayer looks pretty awesome, and I've only watched the first episode of the Passage but I want to watch more.
