Good Morning, Everyone!
My Current Reads!
It's been a really stressful week for me. My 77-year-old grandmother fell and fractured her hip; resulting with her being sent to a hospital in the city, where she had surgery. She's supposed to be transferred to the local hospital sometime tomorrow, where she will start rehabilitation therapy for three weeks. I'm doubtful if she'll ever be allowed to go home, she's showing signs of dementia.
I haven't had any free time to read. Books on my agenda this week are: The Making of Mrs. Hale by Carolyn Miler and Mind Games by Nancy Mehl. And, yes, I'm still reading American Mirror: The Life and Art of Normal Rockwell.

I'm sorry about your grandma. It's always rough when family is sick/injured. I hope she recovers soon. Maybe you can read to her while she's recovering, so you accomplish two things at once! Have a lovely week!

My grandma was transferred to the local hospital today to begin physical therapy for three weeks.
DeleteI don't believe she would like being read to. She would rather be watching her television.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother! I hope her rehab goes well.
ReplyDeleteUsing a walker, she can stand a put a little bit of weight on her right leg. The therapist at the Liberty hospital made her take several steps down the hallway before she was released to the local hospital. She's still in a lot pain.
DeleteSorry about your grandmother! There's never a good time for it to happen but it always feels worse at this time of year. ☹️
ReplyDeleteMy other grandmother died in Dec. 2009, so the holidays are always a little emotional for my family.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about her fall. Physical therapy is a good thing but it's not easy. I hope you fit in some reading and relaxing for yourself. Anne - Books of My Heart
