Review - Garden of Life: RAW Meal Chocolate Cacao

Trust me when I say that you need to make sure to get a proper nutrition when you start an intense exercise program. And, no, this doesn't mean you need to starve yourself. Actually, you're going to be even more hungry, so you need to make sure to eat enough healthy foods.

Last week, I received a 1.34 lb container of Garden of Life: RAW Meal Chocolate Cacao, a beyond organic snack and Meal Replacement, which is Non GMO Project Verified.

One container has either 14 servings (scoops) for a snack or 7 servings (2 scoops) as a meal replacement. Garden of Life is a brand that I've heard of, but never tried, well, that is until I received the RAW Meal last week, which is available in Original, Chocolate, Vanilla and Vanilla Spiced Chai. All the ingredients are organic, which is great for anyone that is getting trying to get back into shape. While the directions recommends mixing it with water, I've tried it with skim milk to make an amazing shake.

Considering the flavor is called Chocolate Cacao, I was expecting a sweet chocolate flavor, but that wasn’t what I got here as the first taste was definitely bitter and a little grainy. Once I got use to the taste, it's actually pretty filling. It has plenty of vitamins and minerals to help your body prepare or recovery from any workout program. Overall, the RAW Meal Chocolate Cacao might not be best tasting protein shake, but it does keep you from getting gravings for several hours after drinking it and it also gives your body a boost during your workouts.
