Do you like blog headers that are bookish or blog headers that are simply attractive?

2. Enter the link to your post in the linky list below (enter your Blog Name and the direct link to your post answering this week’s question. Failure to do so will result in removal of your link).

3. Visit other blogs in the list and comment on their posts. Try to spend some time on the blogs reading other posts and possible become a new follower.  The purpose of the hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

My Answer:

I don't care for the generic headers that appear on every other blog. I think a header should should stand out and give the reader an idea of what the blog is about.

  1. Hmm, I read almost all of the blogs I follow in a reader, so the design tends to be completely irrelevant. When I do look at a blog and assess the design, I tend to like a simple, clean, spacious look. What someone has in their header doesn't really matter to me. But as I like bookish things I never dislike a bookish header.

I particularly like the one on Apocalypse Booked. (Here: http://apocalypsebooked.com/)

  2. Although this too is a bit irrelevant to me too, I do think a header that gives the reader a feel of what the blog contains is a good approach :)

  3. That’s the first thing that readers would see so I want it to be eye-catching enough. That's for me though. I'm fond of beautiful headers, but of course it's the content that still matters.

  5. I like pretty headers and a nice blog design.

Mine actually doesn't indicate what mine is about, though. :)

    ENJOY your weekend, Billy.

    Happy Hopping!!

  6. A nice blog header is like a nice book cover. And sorry I do judge a bit.

  7. It doesn't matter to me but I do like seeing headers that matches what the main topic of the blog is.
