JOE POD Coffee Converter
It's no secret that I love my daily cup (well cups) of
coffee. Despite my passion for coffee, I have yet to
buy a Keurig coffee machine, mostly because I don't want to pay a
hundred dollars or more for a coffee maker. I'm more than satisfied
with my current $25 coffee machine and I don't plan on replacing it.
That being said, I have seen the K-cups in the stores and I have been
wanting to try them. Luckily, I got a chance to review some K-cups,
which I just tore off the tops of the cups and poured the grounds into
my coffee maker's reusable filter to brew a cup. While it tasted
fine, it would probably tasted a whole better if I actually used the
K-cups, as most have built-in filters.
I turned to the internet and after a quick search, I
stumbled upon a new invention called the JOE POD Coffee Converter by
Joseph Pruitt. The coffee converter started out as a Kickstarter
funded project earlier this year. After receiving the funding, the
JOE POD Coffee Converter is now available to the public.
What exactly is a JOE POD Coffee Converter?
Well, the JOE POD will give you the ability to brew a K-cup with a
regular coffee maker (6-10 cups). All you have to do open the JOE POD
lid, insert the K-CUP &press down and snap the lid shut. Make sure
to adjust the brewing strength to your liking. Then remove the filter
basket from the coffee maker and replace it with the JOE POD. Add
around 8 ounces of water to the coffee maker and brew the coffee.
Please take note that the 12.5g K-cups will not work with the JOE
POD, but any size under that should work fine.
I'm surprised that it took this long for someone to come with a
way to use K-cups in a regular coffee maker. The JOE POD Coffee
Converter is an amazing invention that every coffee lover should own.
The converter is simple to use and easy to clean up. I have been
using the JOE POD daily for almost two weeks and I have been loving
it. It makes a strong cup of coffee! The company also sales
a Stainless Steel Holder that will hold the JOE POD as well as six
K-cups. Overall, I think the JOE POD Coffee Converter is a great
product and it would make a great gift this holiday season.
