Review:

Last week, Nickelodeon released SpongeBob and Friends: Patrick SquarePants on DVD containing 14 episodes, all featuring SpongeBob and his buddy Patrick.

SpongeBob SquarePants is currently in its 9th season with a 10th season planned to hit the airwaves later this year. The award winning series has become one of Nickelodeon’s most popular animation shows with both kids and adults alike.

This DVD release features the best buddy episodes of SpongeBob and Patrick throughout the series' first nine seasons. You'll have plenty of fun watching the two best buddies celebrate Best Friend's Day and Starfish Day. There is plenty of adventure when SpongeBob and Patrick get zapped into a medieval version of Bikini Bottom.

The 14 episodes on the single-disc are:
  1. Big Pink Loser
  2. The Secret Box
  3. I'm With Stupid
  4. New Student Starfish
  5. Dunces and Dragons
  6. Patrick SmartPants
  7. That's No Lady
  8. Driven to Tears
  9. The Gift of Gum
  10. Karate Star
  11. Big Sister Sam
  12. Squidward's School for Grown-Ups
  13. The Googly Artiste
  14. Pet Sitter Pat

Typically, children animation series' DVD releases only contain four to six episodes, but I'm glad to find fourteen episodes are included on the SpongeBob and Friends: Patrick SquarePants DVD. I've been more than aware that the series existed, but the first time I viewed the series was last year with the Christmas Special Blu-ray release. SpongeBob might be aimed for a young audience, but there is plenty of humor for adults, but not too outrageous like a few of the nighttime animations are. Here you get over three hours of fun in Bikini Bottom. Overall, I thought SpongeBob and Friends: Patrick SquarePants was a delight to watch and I highly recommend it to everyone.
