Review:

Last week, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment released the 5th and final season of TNT's Leverage starring Timothy Hutton as "The Mastermind" Nathan "Nate" Ford, Gina Bellman as "The Grifter" Sophie Devereaux, Aldis Hodge as "The Hacker" Alec Hardison, Christian Kane as "The Hitter" Eliot Spencer, and Beth Riesgraf as Parker "The Thief" on DVD.

The premise of Leverage involves ex-insurance investigator Nate Ford and his team of ex-criminals helping  innocent people who have been wronged by the rich and powerful. Throughout each episode the team runs a con on a company or an individual and steals money from them or set them up for a crime.

Leverage is a little cable series that I watched from time to time. I didn't know it was cancelled until I reviewed The Final Season DVD last week. The fifteen final episodes finds the Leverage team taking down a corrupt airline executive, a greedy hockey team owner, a crazed entrepreneur, an evil owner of a cooking school, crooked politicians, the real D.B. Cooper, a sleazy car lover, kidnappers, terrorists, and other baddies. My favorite episodes are The Real Fake Car Job with guest-star Matthew Lillard and The Broken Wing Job, where an injured Parker and a waitress tries to outsmart a few thieves (well kidnappers). Besides from a few deleted scenes, gag reels, and commentaries on every episodes, there are no behind-the-seen extras. Overall, Leverage: The Final Season is a fun watch and I recommend it to others. I'm crossing my fingers for a reunion movie.
