Review:

Wow! I can't believe it has been nearly twenty years since the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers aired on television. The newest spin-off Power Rangers Megaforce is currently on hiatus, but new and old fans can look forward to the DVD Power Rangers Super Samurai: Vol. 4: Secret of the Red Ranger, which will be out in stores this Tuesday, June 11, 2013!

Master Xandred returns to Earth to destroy Serrator, who betrayed him, and of course he plans on destroying the Samurai Ranger, but he returns to the Netherworld in defeat. The Samurai Rangers have no time to rest as Serrator plans on destroying them with the help of a bug spraying Pestilox, giant Spitfangs, twin Papyrux, and a new Nighlok monster, Fiera. The Samurai Ranger's Shogun ancestors and mega modes may not be enough to survive the battle. Their only hope is for the Red Ranger (Jayden) to unveil his deepest secret, his sister.

"Serrator" stars in Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Power Rangers Super Samurai: Secret of the Red Ranger - Volume 4.
The four episodes are:
  • The Master Returns
  • A Crack in the World!
  • Stroke of Fate
  • Fight Fire with Fire

Special Features are:
  • "Everyday Fun" Music Video
  • "MEGA Album Playlist" Video
  • English 5.1 Dolby Digital Audio
  • Spanish and French 2.0 Dolby Digital Audio

. The Red Ranger ("Lauren") stars in Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Power Rangers Super Samurai: Secret of the Red Ranger - Volume 4.

The episodes were new for me, except for Fight Fire with Fire, which I saw on television a few months ago. Yes, the series can be a little cheesy at times, but I think this was done on purpose to make it more lighthearted than the Japanese version. The basic theme is Good vs. Evil in each episode, though there is a twist in Fight Fire with Fire, which I liked. Overall, the Secret of the Red Ranger is a fun watch for both kids and adults.

Note - I was sent advanced copy earlier in exchange for my honest review.
