Take A Trip Back To Fear Street!

Probably almost every teenager from the late 1980s and 1990s will recall reading at least one Fear Street novel by author R.L. Stine. The teen horror book series was first published in 1989 with The New Girl and quickly became popular with teenagers. Several spin-offs followed, such as Fear Street Sagas, Fear Street Seniors, Ghosts of Fear Street (ghostwritten). More than 80-million copies have been sold worldwide, leading Fear Street to become the best-selling young-adult book series of all time that is until the Harry Potter books and the Twilight Saga came around. The franchise took a brief hiatus until the Fear Street Nights trilogy was published in 2005 and then once again disappeared from bookstores until last week's release of Party Games: A Fear Street Novel.

Party Games marks the first Fear Street hardcover release, plus, it launches the start of brand-new releases of the series. The new book centers on teenager Rachel Martin, who spends her after school time working at the restaurant called Lefty's and trying to avoid her ex-boyfriend, Mac. She gets the shock of her life when her crush Brendan Fear invites her to his party that will be on his family's estate on Fear Island. Though she has been warned to stay away from Brendan by one of her friends, she eagerly agrees to attend the party.

When she arrives at Fear Lake to get aboard the boat that will take her to Fear island, she meets the other guests - April Conkin, Delia Rogers, Geena Steves, Robby "Spider"" Webb, Eric Finn, Patti Berger and Kerry Reacher. All of them are excited to spend the weekend on Fear Island that is said to be haunted.

Review:

Its hard to believe that it has been over 22 years since the first Goosebumps by R.L. Stine was published. The original series ended in 1997 with a total of 62 books, but the franchise continued with Goosebumps Series 2000, Give Yourself Goosebumps and Tales to Give You Goosebumps. A popular television series of the same name aired in the middle '90s. R.L. Stine launched a brand new series Goosebumps Horrorland in 2008, followed by Goosebumps Hall Of Horrors and Goosebumps Most Wanted.

Out now in bookstores is the newest installment Goosebumps Most Wanted: Special Edition #2: The 12 Screams of Christmas. The story centers on Kate Welles, a sixth-grader with a sixth sense. Yes, she can see the dead, well, she can ghosts. Her classmates call her Ghost Girl because of her "gift," but nobody really believes that she actually see the dead.

Her class is having a holiday play this year called "The 12 Screams Of Christmas." It is written and directed by the music teacher Mr. Piccolo (his students call him Mr. P). Kate wants to land a great role in the play, but her frenemy, Courtney, will do anything to steal the part from her.

With Halloween only a few weeks away, many film studios will be releasing or re-releasing horror to DVDs this month. New to DVD is The Devil Incarnate, which centers on a newlywed couple, Trevor and Holly Davidson (played by Rod Luzzi and Graci Carli). While on their way to Florida to start their honeymoon, they make a stop at Cassadaga, so Holly can have her fortune read by a tarot reader. Eventually, Holly finds a old woman named Vjestica (played by Barbara Van Fleet) to read her fortune, but it doesn't go as exactly as she thought it would.

Their honeymoon comes to a complete halt when Holly is rushed to the hospital that night because of hemorrhaging. It turns out that she is actually pregnant! Later at her in-laws place in Florida, Holly starts acting oddly - making-out with her sister-in-law, flirting with her father-in-law and she speaks in a weird language; all of which is being caused by her pregnancy.

Review:

Fairy tales have been making a comeback in recent years with success of Disney's Frozen, ABC's Once Upon a Time and a several other Grimm-themed fairy tales. Last year, the novel Doon put a modern twist on the fairy tale genre and now the authors, Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon, are back with the sequel, Destined For Doon.

The original Doon followed best-friends, Veronica and Mackenna (Kenna), whom arrived in Scotland for a vacation, but after stumbling up on a set of rings, they traveled to the land of Doon. Veronica ended up staying behind, but Kenna returned to our world to become a Broadway star.

In Destined For Doon, Kenna is regretting leaving her prince, Duncan, behind in Doon. A part of her wishes she had brought him to Chicago with her, but then the other part of her knows that he would have never adjusted to living in the modern world. Out of nowhere, Duncan appears in her dressing room and begs her to return to Doon with him as it seems that the new Queeen, Veronica, needs her help.

Herbal-T Performance Review

I know many of my regular blog readers have read several posts this year on dietary supplement reviews, but new readers may be wondering why. Well, ever since I hit 30, which was three-years-ago, I've been trying to exercise more and take better care of myself, but it isn't an easy task. As we get older our testosterone levels drop, which can result in depression, loss of focus, loss of muscle mass & energy and a decreased sex-drive.

For the past few weeks, I have been taking Herbal-T, a Herbal Testosterone Maintenance from Daily Nutra. The dietary supplement is meant to boost your testosterone levels, enhance your libido, increase your focus and energy levels and reduces blood pressure. It is recommended to take two capsules a day for at least 30 days. The product is intended for adult men and it is recommend that women shouldn't take it.
