5-Day Nutrisystem Jumpstart Your Weight Loss Kit Review

The past week has certainly went by fast as I have been reviewing the new 5-Day Nutrisystem Jumpstart Your Weight Loss Kit, which is available at most Walmart stores at $44.98. I have seen the advertisements on television with the talk show host Marie Osmond and the football legend Dan Marino. I wanted to know what the hype was all about, so I decided to join the NSNation and try the 5-Day kit.

The meals in the kit are:

Day 1:  Granola Cereal, Red Beans & Rice, Lasagna with Meat Sauce, Chocolatey Nougat Bar with Peanuts and Caramel

Day 2: Honey Wheat Bagel, Cheesy Potatoes Mix, Thick Crust Pizza, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Day 3: Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bar, Chicken Noodle Soup, Homestyle Beef & Mashed Potatoes, Coconut Almond Bar

Nutrisystem 5-Day Jumpstart Kit Update

For anybody who hasn't read my post from last week, I started the new Nutrisystem 5-Day Jumpstart Your Weight Loss Kit, which is currently available at nearly 2,000 Walmart stores around the country. If you're like me, then you've probably seen the advertisements for the weight-loss program on television countless times. Now, everybody has the chance to join the NSNation and try the meals for five days for only $44.98.

Day one stared with the granola cereal, which I added some fat-free milk to it for breakfast. Plus, I had a cup of low-fat yogurt. For a morning snack, I drank a cup of fat-free milk. For lunch I had the red beans & rice witch chicken sausage in a spicy sauce (it’s in the above picture) with an extra smartcarb of rice. My afternoon snack consisted of one apple. My dinner consisted of a lasagna with meat sauce (look at the picture below) which I added a side salad, one slice of toast, and another 1/2 cup of rice. Dessert was a chocolatey nougat bar with peanuts and caramel.

Look What Came in the Mail: Nutrisystem 5-Day Jumpstart Your Weight Loss Kit

I have seen the Nutrisystem commercials on television numerous times and I've always been curious if the program actually worked. Before, the only way to try out the program was by calling or going to the website, but that has now changed as you can buy the Nutrisystem 5-Day Jumpstart Your Weight Loss Kit at your local Walmart at $44.95, which is less than $9 a day! The kit is meant to help jumpstart your weight loss journey.

As many of my readers already know, I have been trying to get myself into shape this year, but the road has been a rocky one. Since I started a new workout program this week, I thought it would be a good time for me to try the 5-Day Kit. My first thought was to start the program today, but with tomorrow being the 4th I thought it would be best if I start it on Friday.

The kit is jam-packed with fifteen entries and five desserts.

Author, humorist and actress, Lisa Pedace, takes a humorous approach on the subject of dieting, a stab at commercial/Hollywood dieting schemes, and jabs at the weigh-obsessed culture where we are fed twenty-four hours a day by the media telling us what we should and shouldn’t do. The Diet Joke is meant to be a reprogramming guide to help you jump start pass the culture nonsense and help you get starting on changing your life for the better, which isn’t easy since we are constantly bombarded with messages/commercials about new food products. We have to learn that these companies are here to make money and that they don’t care about out health. We have to be smart and not let the advertisers brainwash us into buying the products we don’t need. Even our own government wants to control our health, but we are the only one’s with the power to do something.

I was interested in reviewing The Diet Joke because I have been dieting and exercising for the last few months. I found the book to a bit of fresh air from the constant dieting and fitness books that are being released through the media. I loved the reprogramming activities that are at the end of each chapter and the jokes are a riot. I’ll have to pay attention at what commercials are aired during my programs. Overall, I really enjoyed reading The Diet Joke
and recommend it to everyone.
