I feel like that's what I do for half my review and the other half I dive into the plot a wee bit. Never the whole thing of course, but to the amount that I would want to know about if I were reading a review about a book I was on the fence on.

When I started reviewing in 2021 I wanted to make my reviews different and easy to do. I eventually came up with a template (mentioning the overall writing, the chapters, the characters and the settings) which I think is good and allows people to compare books without spoiling things.
