{Sunday Post} — Beyond the Great Snow Mountain, Dandelion Wine, and Night of the Comanche Moon

What Am I Reading?

I placed a Wednesday bookmark inside Richard Chizmar's Chasing the Boogeyman and will begin reading it tonight. Then, I'll move on to one of the other TBR books.

What's in the Mailbox?

The only review-related thing in the mailbox was Clive Cussler's Desolation Code by Graham Brown.

What's New on the Bookshelf?

While I'm not the biggest audiobook fan, I picked up two Tom Clancy audiobooks, Executive Orders and Without Remorse for 99 cents each. Also, for ten cents each, I got the paperbacks Beyond the Great Snow Mountains by Louis L'Amour, Kid Rodelo by Louis L'Amour, Eight Strange Tales by Vic Ghidalia, Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury, Eight Million Ways to Die by Lawrence Block, The X-Files: Ground Zero by Kevin J. Anderson, and Babylon 5: Book #1: Voices by John Vornholt, and three Asimov Science Fiction Magazines (Issues: August 1982, Mid-December 1982, January 1983, and March 1983).

After donating some books and other things to the local Humane Society thrift store, I looked around. I bought three books: The Rising Sea by Clive Cussler and Graham Brown, Night of the Comanche Moon by T. T. Flynn, and Some Die Young by William J. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone.

Wait a minute, don't I already own Some Die Young

I was about 99% sure I already had the book, but it wasn't on the list on my smartphone. So, I picked it up for 50 cents. And it turned out that I did buy the same book a few months ago. Why was the book not on my list? I can't figure it out; I'd just checked and double-checked the previous week.

New eBooks on my Kindle are A Reviewer's Guide to Writing Book Reviews: And How to Get Paid for Them by Rick Hipson, Guy N. Smith Illustrated Bibliography: The Complete Guide to Collecting the Works of Guy N. Smith by Shane P. D. Agnew, Dodge City by Matt Braun, Max Brand: The Ultimate Collection, The Housemaid's Wedding by Freida McFadden, and Dark Knight of the Mountain Man, The Scavengers, A Rocky Mountain Christmas, A Frontier Christmas, and Deadshot by William J. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone.

  1. Eight Million Ways to Die. My friend and I still quote that movie. Night of the Comanche Moon looks good. I love the westerns art.
