Paige Plays an Edgy Other Woman
If you lack a nearby theater, catch the young actress on “The Baxters” in her recurring role as Angela Manning. Cast as the other woman who initiates an affair with the married Tim Jacobs, her explosive character throws wine bottles and pushes for a speedy divorce between Tim and his wife Kari, according to MEAWW. The soap opera drama appears on Amazon Prime Video.
Will Season Four Happen?
Right now, you’ll only see Paige in those four episodes because Amazon has yet to renew the series. The show just finished its third season, but that’s a misleading number. Amazon purchased all three seasons that had been filmed as early as 2018. Now in the mobile video version of syndication, the show picked up many new fans, and they all ask the same question. What will happen in season four?
What Fans Want to See
Producer and actress Roma Downey wants to film a season four, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), but reassembling a cast from six years ago could prove tough. Fans want more though, and MEAWW brainstormed with them to make a few plot suggestions for the show’s producers and director.
The top three storylines fans want include:
- Characters Kari Baxter and Ryan Taylor become parents.
- Character Ashley Baxter undergoes HIV treatment.
- Characters Baxter and Landon Blake navigate post-HIV diagnosis relationships.
Based on the “Redemption” Books
Besides fan ideas, the producers could explore the source material further. Downey based the series on a book series by Karen Kingsbury, who served as the consulting producer for all 34 existing episodes. Because the prolific writer continues to author Baxters material, producers have plenty more source material. According to Amazon, the books include a prequel and a Christmas story.
The series remains out of production for now, but fans shouldn’t give up hope. After many new fans continued coming to TV series, such as The X-Files, its network chose to mount a comeback season. In that example, the original cast did return, although nearly two decades later.
