I was initially drawn to reading "ANTI-HERO BLUES" solely because of its cover. The artwork made me imagine a futuristic world similar to Blade Runner. When I read the blurb, I realized it's actually a superhero tale—on steroids. I usually get tired of superhero stories, but I decided to give it a chance. The author, Christopher Lee Rippe, has a unique vocabulary and showcases it through detailed descriptions and vivid dialogues. The characters are charming and have enough depth to keep them interesting. On paper, the plot seems clichéd, but in reality, it's a fresh take on the classic good vs. evil premise. Overall, ANTI-HERO BLUES turned out to be surprisingly entertaining. It will definitely appeal to older Marvel and DC fans. ╌★★★★✰

He's also a certified mental-health first-aid trainer, has worked as a neurodiversity consultant for several Pittsburgh-based tech startups, and has contributed to several tabletop RPG products. When not writing, Chris reads, plays games, and spends time with his lovely wife, Nicole, and their adorable rescue dog, Belle.
