"Yoshi & Katherine"
"FORTY-SEVEN DAYS WITH JESUS" was directed by David M. Gutel and Emilio Palame, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Rolland Jacks. The 97-minute film tells the story of a broken family's journey toward hope and reconciliation through a cinematic reenactment of Jesus' final 47 days on Earth. FORTY-SEVEN DAYS WITH JESUS, starring Yoshi Barrigas and Catherine Lidstone from The Chosen, vividly depicts the Easter story and serves as a reminder of the gospel's enduring impact. The movie additionally features fantastic original music.
I will try to keep my "final thoughts" brief because I am running a bit behind schedule. FORTY-SEVEN DAYS WITH JESUS is a delightful, family-friendly drama. The film revolves around a father who—due to work obligations—is unable to devote enough time to reading his children the Forty-Seven Days story that his father penned in a composition notebook many years prior. The story is the greatest story of all—Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, represented throughout the film in musical segments. I did indeed say "musical segments"! The musical scenes are far from historically accurate, but the melodies are appealing, and I believe younger viewers will appreciate the tunes.
Overall, I enjoyed FORTY-SEVEN DAYS WITH JESUS; it's a cute, fun movie to see with the family around Easter. ╌★★★★✰
