Billy's Answer
My books are dispersed among closets, desks, dressers, and inexpensive bookshelves; I don't have enough bookcases for them to be organized the way I would like. My favorite autbors, including Tom Clancy, Stephen King, John Saul, R.L. Stine, and C.J. Box, are usually kept on different bookshelves. My Star Trek paperback collection is mostly arranged on one shelf. The rest are dispersed, but I know roughly where each title is.

My system is also nonexistent, as I neither have the space nor dedication to make it stick. But like you said, I know where what is, in case I'm ever looking for a book. Thanks for hosting and I hope you have a lovely week :)
ReplyDeleteJuli @ A Universe in Words
I don't even know roughly where books are 🤦🏻♀️ especially as some bookshelves we have got only fit certain sized books. We are also in the process of moving books around so I have no chance 🤣
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

I go with the standard and true, alphabetical system! lol. Of course right now the majority are in storage and that's just a hot mess! I at least wrote on the boxes what authors are inside. But one author could very well be in like 5 boxes...maybe more depending on how much they wrote!
ReplyDeleteHere's my BBH
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I do mine by date read - not sure why I chose that way. I like Jessica's way - alphabetical order. :)
ReplyDeleteWhatever works, though, right? If your organizing works, then it is a good one for you. You seem to know where things are, Billy, and that's all that matters. :)
Have a good Friday.
Mine are together, but in large part in a box. They need to be shelved! :)
ReplyDeleteIt really does make it hard to be more organized when you don't have the shelf space. Have a great weekend, Billy. Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the "system" I used in my previous house, where I tons of room and lots of bookshelves and didn't feel the need to limit the number of books I had. Good times, good times.
