{Sunday Post} — The Bad Weather Friend, The Law of Nines, and One Last Breath

The Caffeinated Book Reviewer's Kimberly hosts a weekly meme called "The Sunday Post"!

* Weekly Tidbits *

  • I've had a nasty cough and been sick for much of the week. It is only a cough; I don't believe it's COVID.

  • Reading-wise, I'm not feeling it.

  • Reviews will get posted as soon as I feel like it. Writer's block? To some extent, yes.

  • I've been binge-watching Babylon 5

What Am I Currently Reading?

I read practically nothing after reading Lee Child's Bad Luck and Trouble, save for six or seven pages of V.C. Andrews' Losing Spring. I didn't feel like reading yesterday, but maybe I will tonight.

What's New on the Shelf?

On Tuesday, I went to the thrift store, and I bought the following paperbacks: The Black Dahlia by James Ellroy, Revenge at Hatchet Creek by Frank Leslie, The Width of the World by David Baldacci, You Don't Want to Know by Lisa Jackson, and One Last Breath by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush.

Also, on Tuesday, I picked up Terry Goodkind's The Law of Nines at the local library for $2.

New titles on my Kindle are The Bad Weather Friend by Dean Koontz, A Haunting on the Hill by Elizabeth Hand, The Curator by Owen King, Scream & Nightmares: The Films of Wes Craven by Brian J. Robb, The Impossible Has Happened: The Life and Work of Gene Roddenberry by Lance Parkin, Star Trek: Enterprise: Daedalus by Dave Stern, Star Trek: The Tears of the Singers by Melinda Snodgrass, Twilight's End by Jerry Oltion, Star Trek: The Lost Era: Deny Thy Father by Jeff Mariottee, and Star Trek: The Next Generation: Unification by Jeri Taylor.

  1. I haven't been reading much. I do want to get that Star trek 50 book that has all kinds of vignettes about Star Trek, I saw it at Barnes and Noble a while ago, but haven't gotten it yet...

  2. Good luck with A Haunting on the Hill by Elizabeth Hand. I'll be starting one of her novellas in a couple of weeks. I really loved Wylding Hall by her.
