Aendi placed a black ribboned bookmark in the spot where she'd been reading and slowly closed the Good Book.

My Thoughts

This week, I'm showcasing a book I've already started reading: The Heirloom by Beverly Lewis. If you're new to my blog, you might be surprised by the title, given that I usually read mysteries, horror, and science fiction. You won't believe this, but I used to read Amish books, and Beverly Lewis was the first author I ever read in that genre. The Heirloom is a stand-alone prelude to The Heritage of Lancaster County Trilogy. Even though I had recently obtained a digital copy from NetGalley, I ultimately decided to buy the paperback version on Wednesday. As of this writing, I'm on Chapter 11.
