Alex Velesky is in a terrible situation. He possesses the key that might reveal the real story behind the global network of illegal payments set up by the Russians. The funds are used, among other things, to finance terrorist organizations, bribe politicians, and overthrow countries. Extremely strong forces will stop at nothing to prevent this secret from becoming public.
However, four thousand miles away in New York City, only one person can compile and disseminate the data to the world. A Swiss financier like Velesky can't possibly expect to outlast the assassins hot on his tail for so long. Fortunately for him, he has a trick up his sleeve. Zoya Zakharova, a former Russian intelligence officer, former CIA operative, and the Gray Man's current lover, is determined to bring the information and its messenger safely to their destination.
What Zoya doesn't realize is that a particularly dangerous force is standing in her way—Court Gentry.
One of my favorite new authors is Mark Greaney; he has a natural flair for creating gripping action scenes that keep readers turning the pages. The character of Court Gentry, also known as the Gray Man, is essentially a contemporary clone of James Bond; contrary to what you would believe, the character has numerous dimensions, making him feel like a breath of fresh air.
