About
B.J. Burgess
Bookworm extraordinaire with a caffeine addiction, I’ve spent years dodging reality in the pages of novels—from spine-tingling thrillers to Westerns that make me feel like a cowboy. Join my chaotic love affair with books and movies at Ramblings of a Coffee-Addicted Writer and Gunsmoke & Grit—where words flow faster than my coffee supply!
I value the input of my readers and welcome their engagement. However, in order to maintain a constructive dialogue, I will be moderating comments to remove any spam, excessively critical remarks, or contributions that do not enhance the discussion. I appreciate your understanding in this matter and look forward to receiving your insightful feedback.

Oh wow I love those old school covers. Something about an old school SF cover can be so comforting. although some aew weird too. Ha.
ReplyDeleteStirling is an author I've wanted to read.
A lot of imagination went into the old school covers, and yes, some of them can be a bit weird. The same thing goes for the '70s and '80s horror paperback covers. Occasionally, the covers have nothing to do with the stories.
DeleteThe Butterfly House looks amazing. I hope you enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post.
It was first released under the name "Glasvinge" in Denmark. After reading the synopses on my first trip to Walmart this week, I was torn between buying A Face to Die For and The Butterfly House. I chose A Face to Die For, but subsequently regretted not also choosing The Butterfly House. Later, I returned and purchased it.
DeleteI've heard a lot about the Lincoln Lawyer and it's on Neflix too, I think.

There are several book in the series.
DeleteYes, there's a Lincoln Lawyer series on Netflix. There's also a movie starring Matthew McConaughey.
DeleteYou seem to have good luck with your Dollar Store when it comes to books! Every time I pop in one there's hardly anything there in terms of books. Let alone books I'd want to read.
ReplyDeleteNice new reads too! Lots of new to me ones but I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!
Here's my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I'm starting to believe no one else in my town is a reader but me. It seems like I'm the only one ever looking at books at Dollar Tree, and typically the same books are there on my next visit.
DeleteI hope you enjoy The House of Wolves more than you expect to
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
I was going into a James Patterson book hoping for the best, but lately I've been mostly disappointed with his works.
DeleteMan, you are the king of thrift book shopping! I'm amazed that you're still able to find so many books you want week after week - you'd think you'd have them all picked over by now! Have a terrific week.

Thanks for the compliment! I just have good luck that the only thrift store in my town carries the things the authors like. I wish there were more thrift stores, like a Goodwill, and used bookstores in my area.
DeleteActually, there were still lots and lots of books there, just none I was interested in.
Yay for the library! I have The House at the End of the World on my TBR. I haven't read any Dean Koontz in a long time.
