  Billy's Answer

All book bloggers, including myself, in my opinion, recommend authors (and books) to our readers. To share our passion for reading with others—isn't that the whole goal of being a book blogger? Whether my opinions are favorable or not, I hope my review will inspire at least one person to start reading the author's works.

  1. Yes I definitely recommend new authors to readers, the same as I find new authors to check out from other book bloggers

    1. I hope that anybody who reads a review or a "Sunday Post" on my blog will learn about the new writers I mention.

  2. We're on the same page. We blog to help others find authors we enjoy, be they old favorites or new authors.

    1. If we only write favorable reviews, that is. Sometimes my feelings about a book are negative, especially since I have opted not to sugarcoat my reviews.

  3. I definitely recommend new authors all the time.

    1. All book bloggers do so in one way or another, whether with intent or not.

  4. Same! I feel like the majority of my reviews are positive and are in a sense a recommendation to read the author!

    Here's my BBH

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

    1. I don't write favorable reviews on books on purpose, but I am aware of several bloggers—none from BBH—who do so regardless of whether they genuinely like the book or not. I always provide my honest opinion, which is occasionally unfavorable.

  5. I expect I recommend new authors with every review I write! Somebody is bound to find something new to them on my blog now and again.

  6. I suggest things on Facebook Groups if someone asks, mainly books though rather than a specific author.

    Have a great weekend!

  7. New writers, new-to-me writers, older name it, I'll suggest 'em!
