  Billy's Answer

I find it challenging to respond since I've never had a shortage of books. Yes, I would be lost if I didn't have a book to read to answer the question. I would be just like Burgess Meredith in the classic Twilight Zone episode Time Enough at Last, when he portrayed a bookworm who was the only person to survive the apocalypse and had all the time in the world to read his favorite books—until his eyeglasses fell off and broke. Then I would go into madness.

  1. Oops. I read the schedule wrong and answered the wrong question. LOL.

I remember that Twilight Zone episode. Futurama has a spoof of it in a Scary Door bit. :D

    1. Nothing to worry about. You are not the first blogger to make this mistake.

Several Twilight Zone episodes were parodied by Futurama.

    2. True. I love Futurama's parodies. Well, I just love Futurama. It's my all-time favorite TV show.

  2. I suspect most of us will feel like you do - we'd be lost without books.

  3. It’s complicated, like you said I have no shortage of books. But I could go a while without reading if I have to. Sometimes I just need a break.

  4. Not being able to read would be awful. I do worry about loss of eyesight as I get older.

  5. I would most definitely feel lost! Thankfully, I've never experience that. I do remember that Twilight Zone episode and ironically it made me most sad indeed! I feel for fellow bookworms! Lol.

    Here's my BBH

  9. Love your answer, Billy. :)

I would be lost without a book..I always keep one with me. You never know when you will have to wait in line or wait at an appointment. Why waste that time - I get out my book. :)

    2. Elizabeth,

I apparently placed the closing date for the 7th instead of the 13th, as I had originally intended to do. Your blog has already been added to the link list after I repaired the error.
