  Billy's Answer

My response is, "Yep!" Almost all of the shelves in my two tall, inexpensive particle board bookshelves are bending slightly. If I had more money, I would construct a genuine wood wall-to-wall bookcase; hold on, if I had more money, I would purchase a large home that already included a library.

  1. Sounds like a good plan. A house with a built-in library. :D

  2. I need that home library, too. My bookselves are in decent shape, however. Which is surprising given the number of books I have on them.

  3. A house with an actual library would be brilliant. We have a very small room which we have turned into a bookroom and I love it.

  4. Yeah, I am definitely noticing the lesser quality shelves are starting to dip. What's funny is everyone always dreams of having the Beast's Library from Disney's Beauty and the Beast, me, I just want the shelf space! I have the books to fill it, don't need any extra, plus I'll have room for new releases too! Lol!

    Here's my BBH

  5. We used to have pressboard shelves that bowed under the weight of books. We've been fortunate to find several much sturdier bookcases for sale for not a lot of money (thanks, Facebook Marketplace!). So right now, our shelves are all in good order.

  6. I would like a library. We used the spare room as a library, but then my son was born so that got rid of that!

  7. Surprisingly my cheap bookcases are not buckling no matter how many books I shove into them.

  8. Mine actually are not buckling, and I hope they don't.

I hope you can get a new bookcase, Billy, or a house with a built-in library!! :)
