Billy's Answer
I've read a lot of novels again throughout the years. Why? Because I genuinely like those books—to mention just a few, To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, The Shining, and The Haunting of Hill House. Even though I am familiar with the plots and characters, every time I reread the stories, I find something new in the narratives.

To Kill a Mockingbird is a great book! It was the first ever banned book I read.
ReplyDeleteI have many books that I love to re-read. They are old friends that I visit often. Here's my post: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2022/09/23/book-blogger-hop-have-you-ever-re-read-a-book/
ReplyDeleteI don't do too much re-reading nowadays. There's too many TBR books piled up for that! But I do find in recent years I've been re-reading Stephanie Garber's books just before her new release so I can remember everything that has happened already!
ReplyDeleteHere's my BBH
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I do reread sometimes. Usually I reread a book because it's an old favorite, like A Wrinkle in Time. Sometimes it's been because my boys were reading something for school that I'd already read, and I'd read along with them. Sometimes they wanted me to read the same book over and over at bedtime when they were young. But most days, I don't reread. Too many books waiting on me to read them for the first time!
ReplyDeleteI used to reread much easier when I was younger! Now I'm more time constricted, but I do have a couple of books I will definitely reread when I get the time.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
Elza Reads
I had to read To Kill A Mockingbird in high school. I would never had read it for fun though. I have not read the other books. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI reread books all the time. Sometimes it’s easier to revisit books and stories I love than be stuck in a reading slump where I hate everything I try to read
ReplyDeleteAlthough I've read several books once in the past, I only really became an avid reader last year. So I have been focusing mostly on books that are new to me. Enjoy your weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually have never re-read a book even before blogging days. :)
ReplyDeleteFor those that do read, do you remember the book as you read?
For some reason, I can't comment on your blog, Bonnie Reads and Writes, but I like your answer about why you re-read books...thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLoved TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, Billy. I have never re-read it, though. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't re-read much lately, but I used to all the time. Sort of miss it.
