I'm still painting my mother's kitchen, slightly over halfway finished. I'm at the point where I'll have to move a table and chairs and a heavy buffet cabinet. Oh, fun!
I have too many side projects taking up most of my free time. I had to sideline writing reviews in exchange for sleep.
My Dark Shadows reviews will return on August 25th.
What Am I Reading?
I had nearly zero free time to read this past week. I'm reaching the end of The Bourne Sacrifice. Expect my review for it soon. I haven't touched Star Trek: Avenger at all. I've listened to an hour or so of Long Live the Pumpkin Queen.
My days are running together. I believe I got Jurassic World: Dominion on Tuesday (its release day) from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. I'll post the review sometime tomorrow.
What's New on the Bookshelf?
The only new title on my Kindle is Treasure State by C.J. Box, an ARC from NetGalley.
I didn't realize Box had a new one - I do enjoy his series; the premise & hero are different than a standard detective story. Good luck with the painting - that's always a big job! Terrie @ Bookshelf Journeys https://www.bookshelfjourneys.com/post/sunday-post-12
Ooof sounds like you're super busy! Good luck with finishing up the kitchen, hopefully you'll find some time to rest afterwards! Juli @ A Universe in Words
I haven't read any of the additional Bourne novels (beyond the original trilogy). Hope they're good! http://www.lyndonperrywriter.com/2022/08/sunday-book-roundup-3.html
On the first Monday of every month, when the coffee’s strong and the inbox is quiet, a little dispatch arrives. It carries the scent of last month’s book and movie reviews, the echoes of weekly blog hops, and the occasional ramble scribbled between sips. It’s not urgent. It’s not polished. But it’s honest—and it’s yours if you want it.
Bookworm extraordinaire with a caffeine addiction, I’ve spent years dodging reality in the pages of novels—from spine-tingling thrillers to Westerns that make me feel like a cowboy. Join my chaotic love affair with books and movies at Ramblings of a Coffee-Addicted Writer and Gunsmoke & Grit—where words flow faster than my coffee supply!

I've heard mixed things about the new Jurassic World movie but I want to see it. And looking forward to more dark Shadows reviews as well.

I really liked the new Jurassic World movie. I thought it was a fitting tribute to the previous ones.
