My biggest bookish pet peeve is being interrupted by loud sounds or noises while reading. I need complete silence to get into my "reading zone," and a cup of coffee always helps too.

I can get sucked into a book pretty much anytime or anywhere. Background noise doesn't bother me much. My problem is when people try to talk to me while I'm reading. Can y'all not?! Having a book in hand is the universal symbol for "shhh, don't talk to me unless the house is on fire."
ReplyDeleteI need a good amount of silence as well! If there is too much noise I can easily put my headphones in and have music as a sort of background noise. That's how I got all my reading done when I was in school and needed my escape!
