Good Morning, Everyone! 




I accidentally stumbled upon a Star Trek mug while shopping at a bigger Walmart in a nearby county. I went down the wrong aisle and came across several licensed coffee mugs. I grabbed a Spock mug as soon as I laid eyes on it. The other side has the saying, "Live Long and Prosper."  

The store in my town doesn't have a regular mug section. Instead, there are oversized mugs on the greeting cards endcap. That's where I found a 20 ounce Garfield mug.





 

What Am I Reading? 


I finally got my copy of Counterfeit Love by Crystal Caudill. I'm reading the book right now. I'll be posting a review for it sometime on Tuesday for a book blog tour.  


Dune Update - In between reads, I got a little further in Dune. I'm currently only on page 135.


I'm taking a slight break from the Dark Shadows eBooks until I can write reviews for the ones I've read.

What's in the Mail?


Gallery Books sent me Becoming My Sister by V.C. Andrews (a.k.a. the ghostwriter Andrew Neiderman). It's a standalone novel that looks more like a half-cooked Neiderman thriller than a gothic V.C. Andrews tale. Nevertheless, I'll give it a read.  




What's New On The Bookshelf?


Tor Books sent me an ARC eBook of Sands of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson via Netgalley. It's a collection of four new Dune short stories. It's only 176 pages, so I'll probably end up reading it before I finish the original Dune.

    I just LOVE mugs but they just don't fit my house anymore... LOL

    We love oversized mugs, but struggle to find them! Even Amazon doesn't fulfil the brief!!

    Oh nice! I love fun mugs too, but since I'm not a coffee drinker and only ever have hot chocolate on the coldest of days, I don't really use them all that much. I've a few favorites I found over the years, but they rarely get used. Then there are a few I keep on my desk or bookcase for little things because they are so special I can't fathom using them and having something happen to them, paint-wise since 2 are book related and signed!

    Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!

    The whole V.C. Andrews/ghostwriter thing has always fascinated me! The mugs are cool. My best find was a "Class of '88" Hallmark mug I found at Goodwill. Good times!
