{Random Rambling} - Dating, Digital Movies, and Snow

There's nothing more pleasant than watching it snow on a late April morning. Seriously! What's up, Mother Nature? Or should I be blaming Punxsutawney Phil? The beaver did predict six more weeks of winter after seeing his shadow. Nevertheless, the temperatures have increased into the 40s, and most of the snow has melted. Luckily, my allergies haven't gone wacky with the sudden weather change.

My mind is a bit wacky this today, and it could have something to do with the three cups of coffee I downed earlier. Like every Tuesday morning, I begin my day on VUDU in search of their weekly movie deals. Some people love digital movies, and others prefer owning physical media (Blu-rays, DVDs, etc.). I fall somewhere in the middle. I like collecting select Blu-rays, but I'll buy a digital movie if the price is right. Did I buy anything today? Yeah, I bought Halloween III: Season of the Witches for $4.99. Have I seen it before? Yes, but I love the Halloween franchise, and now I own it as a digital copy. There are not too many movies on sale this week that catch my interest, except for Two Mules For Sister Sara, starring Clint Eastwood. I'm debating whether or not I should get it because I already own it on DVD. There's a big TV sale on VUDU, though some of the titles are a little too pricey for me. The only good deal is the Raising Hope: The Complete Series for $14.99. I used to watch the series when it originally aired on Fox. It's an underrated comedy that should have lasted beyond its four seasons. Will I buy it? Maybe. I'm still contemplating it.

Let's fast forward to earlier this morning when I drank the three-cup of coffee. After getting a decent amount of sleep last night, I woke up in a good mood, which is weird because I'm not a morning person. I made the first single-serve coffee of the day, turned on my trusty laptop, and went straight to YouTube, where I wasted too many minutes watching silly cats, pointless podcasts, and music videos (more on the latter in this post.).

After browsing for movie sales on VUDU, I went on Google and searched for dating sites, which is something I do nearly every other day. Why? I'm single with a lonely heart and interested in reentering the dating world. There are many great dating sites out there, such as OkCupid, eHarmony, Meet Bedfordshire Singles, Plenty of Fish, etc. Since life as we all know it changed in 2020, more and more people are replacing virtual dating with in-person dating because it's easier and safer. Thanks to smart phones, we all have access to dating sites and apps, so us single people have no excuses not to join. Hey, you never know, maybe you'll find your soulmate.

Has anyone heard of the singing sister duo ALY & AJ (Alyson and Amanda Michalka)? I've seen them act in TV shows and movies, but I didn't know they were singers until recently. I stumbled upon the music video for their new single Symptom of Your Touch while bumming around YouTube this morning. It's a great song. Check it out below.
