Billy's Answer
It all depends on which book we’re talking about. If it’s an Amish romance, then I probably won’t remember the character’s names or even the plot. I have read so many books in that genre that eventually the stories blend for me. If it’s a Stephen King book, yes, I can tell you anything you want to know about any of his books. Why is this? Well, for starters, I have reread his books multiple times to where I know the stories like the back of my hand. Plus, I’ve watched the film adaptations many times.

What a fun prompt this was for my first time! Also, so cool that you do that for Stephen King books- that's like me but with the Harry Potter series.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Hop.
DeleteWelcome to the hop.
DeleteYeah, I remember a few of the Harry Potter novels. I read all seven and liked them, but don't like the movies.
WELCOME!!
DeleteI hope we see you each week.
Like you Billy, there are many (many) books that I've read that I'd have to say nope, can't remember specifics. However, there are a couple of series (The Protectors by Teresa Gabelman and Immortal Guardians by Dianne Duvall) that I've read so many times that talking about the details, is easy.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend. x
There are some books & series that are more memorable than others.
DeleteI said it depends too. Depends on how much I enjoyed the book, how long ago did I read it, what kinds of details is the person asking for. I have vague recollections on most books though I was just looking at a book I read 10 years ago and drew a big blank. Still enjoyed reading it back then I just can't remember it and since it only lasted 2 books it was even harder to dredge up a memory.

Some books stay in our minds longer than others.
DeleteHi Billy! I haven't done a BBB in years. Fun to be part again. I agree completely with your answer. I can mostly remember the plots of the Stephen King novels and I've never re-read anyone. Some books just stick.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend! I've added my link to the link-up.
Welcome Back!
DeleteYes, some books just stay in our minds longer than others. It really depends on how much we liked the story.
Some books stay with you don't they? Re-reading makes a difference, which is something I've only discovered since we've been in lockdown in the UK. Despite having a large TBR list of owned books I've found myself re-reading old favourites.
ReplyDeleteSteven King though - *shudder* - I'm just too squeamish for horror stories 😂
Old favorites never disappoint.
DeleteI know! I have a few favourites that I've reread that I know better then books I've read once.
ReplyDeleteI usually remember if someone jogs my memory, and sometimes I just recall because of the book.
ReplyDeleteTake care!!
