The girl's clothing and pack had gone into the fire; but not before the Household, wearing heavy gloves, had examined the meager, blood-soaked contents.

  My Thoughts

I really dislike the winter weather. Just when I was finally getting over my cold/sore throat, I caught the flu bug! So the last couples days haven't been the best for me. I've mostly been sleeping; though I've had some time to read more of the 800+ paperback The Passage. I'm almost at the halfway mark with this one. I'm liking it a lot, even though I didn't care much for what happened at the end of "Part II." At the speed I'm reading at, I'll probably finish the book over the weekend.

  1. I'm loving the tv series and I can't wait to try the source material. :D

    1. The television series has made many changes from the novel. About 35% of the book is set in the present and the rest is set in an apocalyptic future.

  3. I never read it. the excerpt sounds a bit gory, but I'm glad you enjoy it. Books are good companions for the flu! Speedy recovery! Mine is here: https://francebooktours.com/2019/02/08/friday-56-the-first-noel-at-the-villa-des-violettes/

  4. Well, the plot does involve a vampire-virus. However, it hasn't been too gory, yet.
