  Billy's Answer

Last year, I had challenged myself to read 75 books and I ended up reading 62. This year I've lowered the number to 52 books, which is only one book per week. I've already read 5 books this year, so I'll probably end up reading more than 52.

  1. I've lowered my goal this year too. I'd rather be pleasantly surprise than unnecessarily stressed. Good luck!

    1. I understand how you feel. That's one of the reasons why I lowered my number this year.

  2. I set a lower goal for myself this year as well. Making good progress on it so far, though if things changed it would definitely be for the better.

    1. My 52 books challenge is more reasonable this year. Last year, I always dreaded signing into Goodreads and noticing how many books I was behind in reading.

  3. A book a week is a great goal! I set my goal at 100 because I read a few children's books throughout the year. :)

    1. I'm currently reading two books at the same time. Well, not at the same time, but I'm taking turns reading them. I'll easily pass my 52 books challenge this year.

  4. I kept my goal the same. I missed hitting it last year but I still think it's more than achievable so it seemed fitting to take another shot at it!

    1. There's nothing wrong with challenging yourself. I just thought 1 book per week would be less stressful for me.

    1. The way things are going, it probably won't take me more than 6 months to hit my 52 goal. I'm already 3/4th through my 6th month of the month and I've already read 80+ pages in an anthology. I'm planning on having both books read before the end of the month.

  10. I made my reading challenge 1 book because I'm focusing on quality over quantity. I get too stressed with high quantity reading challenges.

  12. I'm a slow reader and I lowered my goal to 30 (I know it's not much) but sometimes I really don't have the will power to read.

  13. I kept my goal this year, I've gotten close the last few years, I'm determined to meet it!

    Happy Reading!
