Release Date News!: John Carpenter's Halloween 4K Ultra HD™ Combo Pack

My all-time favorite movie John Carpenter's Halloween is being released in 4K Ultra HD (plus Blu-ray) for the very first time on September 25th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment!

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the cult slasher flick, and I for one can't more excited. A new reboot "Halloween" movie will released to theaters starring Golden Globe® winner Jamie Lee Curtis on October 19th. John Carpenter is returning as a producer and music composer. Nick Castle, aka the original Michael Meyers, is also returning for a scenes.

Jamie Lee Curtis also starred in the 1978's Halloween, along with Donald Pleasence, P.J. Soles, Nancy Kyes, and Charles Cyphers. In addition with the new 4K HD resoultion, the film uses Dolby Vision™ HDR to bring the stunning cinematography to life. The suggested retail price is set at $22.99!

Here's the official synopsis for those who have never seen the 1978 classic:

On a black and unholy Halloween night years ago, little Michael Myers brutally slaughtered his sister in cold blood. But for the last fifteen years, town residents have rested easy, knowing that he was safely locked away in a mental hospital — until tonight. Tonight, Michael returns to the same quiet neighborhood to relive his grisly murder again...and again...and again. For this is a night of evil. Tonight is Halloween!
