Now available from Sparrow Records (Capitol CMG Label Group) is the newest album from  English Christian singer Matt Redman, titled "Glory Song."

Matt Redman co-wrote the song "Blessed Be Your Name" which won a Dove Award in 2005 for Worship Song of the Year. He also co-wrote the Grammy Award-nominated "Our God."

He has won two Grammy Awards for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Song and Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance.

For the album "Glory Song," Matt has teamed up with several other Christian singers - Kierra Sheard, Guvna B, Madison Cunningham, and Kim Walker-Smith.

Final Thoughts: If you follow this blog, then you would know I've never been a big fan of Christian music until this year, after I had the opportunity to review a few spiritual albums. This week I had the privilege of listening to the new album "Glory Song" by the English Christian singer Matt Redman. I had heard of the singer's name before, but this is the first time I have listened to any of his music. In other words, I had no idea what to expect from the album.

Unlike the other Christian albums that I have reviewed this year, this one is slightly "preachy," but not in a bad way. While there isn't exactly a theme for the album, many of the songs are about finding redemption and strengthening your faith. The songs are a blend of contemporary, country, and pop, though a few them sound like Christmas songs.

Overall, I enjoyed listening to the Matt Redman: Glory Song CD. Some of my favorites songs from the album are Gracefully Broken, Redemption Ground, and Still I Will Sing.
