Now available to purchase on DVD from Disney Home Entertainment is Goldie & Bear: Best Fairytale Friends, featuring 7 episodes from the hit Disney Junior series. There are no special features or bonus extras on the single disc; however, it does come with a free Playtime Fun Set.
Goldie & Bear debuted this past December on Disney Junior. The series picks up shortly after the classic fairytale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears"ended, where Goldie (voiced by Natalie Lander) and her new friend Jack (Baby) Bear (voiced by Georgie Kidder) have fun, exciting adventures in a forest far far away.
There are 7 episodes on the DVD, with each episode containing two adventures.
The episodes are:
The Birthday Chair / Big Bear
Fee Fi Fo Shoe / Little Gold Riding Hood
Bear's Red Shoes / Goose Sitters
Moon Jump / The Big Good Wolf
Pinocchio-itis / The Clubhouse That Jack Built
The Egg / Golden Kickball

Final Thoughts: Almost everyone has either read or heard the classic "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" story. The Goldie & Bear series continues the story, but in a computer-animation fashion. I had never heard of the series before Disney released the press release about the DVD, but being a cartoon fan, I was intrigued by the new twist in the fairy tale.
While clearly aimed at children, the episodes are written in a way that will appeal to viewers of all ages. The computer-animation is nicely done. The entire voice cast is excellent. Lastly, the stories are really cute.
Overall, Disney Goldie & Bear: Best Fairytale Friends is delightful DVD that the entire family will enjoy watching together.
