Book Blurb:

Waking up next to a dead guy can ruin your whole day. When a wise-cracking interior decorator wants to put her past behind her, the dead body of the mayor’s son makes her realize that won’t happen too easily. A conservative former computer geek for the FBI is holding on too tightly to his past. His wife died under suspicious circumstances and he believes the decorator has the information to solve the case. Unfortunately for him, she isn’t speaking until a series of events convinces her she needs protection especially when her biggest secret threatens to destroy both of their lives. This was originally published as A View to a Kilt.

Review:

It's been a busy month already and I almost forgot about reviewing A View To A Nerd until it somehow popped into my mind yesterday morning. I quickly read the book in the afternoon, so I can have this review all setup for today.

While I wasn't necessarily in the mood to read a contemporary romance, the first page of the book hooked me in. The plot involves a interior decorator, Miriam, hooking up with a man she hasn't seen in years. She wakes up the next morning to find the man dead! Gus, a computer nerd in the FBI, is looking into the case as Miriam is still the #1 suspect, but as he investigates the murder, he starts to fall for Miriam.

This is the second installment in the Nerds Saving The World Series. I never read the first book, but as far as I can tell, the sequel is just a stand-alone tale. The author does a pretty good job crafting a decent mystery with twists & turns around ever corner. Both the two main characters, Gus & Miriam, are well-written and are likeable. Overall, I enjoyed reading A View To A Nerd and I recommend it to others.
