Review:

If you have been in the department stores this week, then you probably noticed all the holiday decorations, gifts and everything else associated with Christmas on the shelves. Of course the electronic departments has been stocked for the holidays too with several new and old movies on DVD and Blu-ray. This coming Tuesday, Lionsgate and Saban Brands will be releasing Power Rangers Megaforce: Robot Knight Before Christmas to DVD, which is the Megaforce Christmas Episode form 2013. The DVD also features two bonus episodes, Power Rangers Wild Force - "Team Carnival" and Power Rangers Jungle Fury - "The Spirit of Kindness."

As you can probably guess, Robo Knight is the center of attention in Robo Knight Before Christmas. After seeing  the citizens of Angel Grove cutting down pine trees and putting up decorations for Christmas, Robo Knight goes on a search to find out what Christmas is really about.

"Robo Knight Before Christmas"

After seeking information from Noah (Blue Ranger), Robo Knight stumbles upon the toy donation. He is accidentally mistaken as a toy and is shipped off to a village in Africa. There, Robo Knight befriends the village's children and tells them stories of the Megaforce Power Ranger, while at the same time he finally learns what the true meaning of Christmas.

"Team Carnival"

From the 2002 Power Rangers Wild Force series, "Team Carnival" centers on Max (the Blue Ranger) finding a lost boy. Both Max and Taylor (the Yellow Ranger) attempt to help the boy find his parents, but they end up at a carnival. Meanwhile, the villain Jindrax teams up with his brother Juggelo to destroy the Wild Force Rangers.

"The Spirit of Kindness"

From the 2008 Power Rangers Jungle Fury series, "The Spirit of Kindness" centers on Casey losing his Tiger Spirit to Whiger. Dai Shi strips Casey of all of his power because of what happened. When the other Rangers get into trouble, Casey must team up with Whiger and show him the true meaning of kindness.

Despite the DVD having a Christmas theme, there is only one holiday episode on the single disc. The Wild Force and Jungle Fury episodes are just random episodes. Similar to the Power Rangers Samurai Christmas episode, Robo Knight Before Christmas is mostly a clip show. It is nice seeing a little character depth to Robo Knight, unlike the one-dimensional Megaforce Rangers. While "Team Carnival" isn't the best episode from Wild Force, it is still fun to watch. If you haven't seen Jungle Fury before, you might be a little confused when watching "The Spirit of Kindness," as it picks up from the previous episode. Overall, Power Rangers Megaforce: Robo Knight Before Christmas isn't the greatest DVD release from the franchise, but I'm sure younger fans will enjoy watching Robo Knight learn a thing or two about Christmas.
