Review:

Arriving on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow is Adventure Time: The Complete Fourth Season, featuring all 26 righteous episodes along with commentaries and the featurette Distant Bands: The Music Of Adventure Time.

Ever since Adventure Time premiered on the Cartoon Network in in 2007, it has been a ratings hit with both kids and adults. The series has won two Annie awards two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Motion Picture Sound Editors Award and a British Academy Children's Award. It is currently its sixth season with a seventh season planned to air sometime next year.

Created by  Pendleton Ward, Adventure times centers on a human boy named Finn and his best-friend and adopted brother Jake, who happens to be a magical shape-shifting dog. They live in the strange post-apocalyptic Land of Oo. While their not stopping the Ice King's newest evil plot, they are hanging out with their friends, such as Princess Bubblegum of the Candy Kingdom and Marceline the Vampire Queen, who is a thousand-year old half-demon aspiring rock-star.

The 26 episodes on the single-disc are:

Sadly, Saturday Morning Cartoons are no longer on network television anymore, so kids are turning to cable channels to find new animation programs. Many cartoons on the Cartoon Network are created to appeal to all ages, including adults. Adventure Time is one of these cartoons. It uses a bit humor similar to Futurama, which ironically has John DiMaggio voicing Jake. Each episode is about 12 minutes length, which typically has Finn and Jake involved in some sort of crazy plot. Overall, Adventure Time: The Complete Fourth Season features some of the best episodes from the series so far and it is a must-have for fans of the series.
