Heroes and Robots Are Invading DVDs on July 8th

Summer is definitely here, but if the hot weather is too much for you to handle, then you should stay inside and watch some great toons with your family. Nickelodeon Home Entertainment is releasing two DVD collections featuring some of the most popular Nickelodeon characters from their hit series, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sanjay and Craig.

Heroes In Action (ASIN: B00J5G1NA6; Retail: $9.98) features five action-packed adventures. First up, SpongeBob's best friend, Patrick, becomes a superhero in Patrick-Man! and battles the Dirty Bubble, but wrecks havoc on Bikini Bottom! SpongeBob must come to rescue in Gary's New Toy when Gary becomes obsessed with a new red ball.

After Michelangelo was caught skateboarding in the lair, the Turtles get grounded in I Think His Name Is Baxter Stockman, but they sneak out to encounter Baxter Stockman in a mechanical battle armor. The Turtles must out-think the scientist, if they plan on saving the city from total destruction.

After Sanjay and his snake pal, Craig, grow huge muscles, they join the police force, Muscle C.O.P.S. In Cold Hard Cash, Craig and Sanjay teamup to locate a frozen treasure that is worth $100 before Baby Richard Dickson gets his hands on it.

Nickelodeon pairs up their best heavy metal episodes in Robot Invasion (ASIN: B00J5G1O2S; Retail: $9.98). After watching a horror film about robots, SpongeBob convinces himself that his boss, Mr. Krab is a robot in Krab Borg! SpongeBob and Patrick become adopted parents to a baby scallop in Rock-a-Bye BiValve.

After getting fed up with only fighting the alien-robotic Kraang with only a wooden bō, Donatello creates the ultimate weapon - a remote-controlled robot turtle named Metalhead. After the robot malfunctions, it is up to Donatello to save the day.

Sanjay's friend are upset with him in Traffical Island, after he leaves them all on a highway median. After finding an old robot created by Vijay, Sanjay and Craig hop aboard a Partybot in the attempt to learn how to be party animals.

Each DVD runs about 71 minutes and there are no special features or extras. While the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the SpongeBob episodes have been previously released on DVD, the Sanjay and Craig episodes are new to DVD. This is a great way to introduce a child to these amazing cartoons this summer. Price at under ten dollars each, the DVDs can make a great gift for a child. Overall, the episodes featured on both titles are action-packed and entertaining!
