Billy's Review:

It’s almost hard to believe The Simpsons is currently in its 25th season and it is the longest-running American primetime scripted television series! Most studios/networks release their series’ previous season to DVD & Blu-ray right before the new season starts, but that isn't the case with The Simpsons, as the series had been airing quite sometime before DVDs became popular. The first season DVD set was released in 2001 and now The Sixteenth Season was released this past Tuesday, December 3, 2013, though 20th Century Fox skipped a few seasons in 2010 and released the 20th season.

The Sixteenth Season aired during the 2004-2005 television season starting with the Treehouse of Horror XV, which features three freaky tales, The Ned Zone, Four Beheadings and a Funeral, and In the Belly of the Boss, followed by 20 additional episodes. The Blu-Ray has many exciting extras: Greetings, Junior Scienteers!, Live! It's The Simpsons, Deleted Scenes with Commentary, Audio Commentary on Every Episode, Multi-Angle Animation Showcase, and Original Sketches, Living in the Moment and a whole lot more!

There is a bonus episode on each disc starting with Lisa's Wedding from the sixth season, Bart To The Future from the eleventh season and Holidays Of Future Passed from the twenty-third season.

The episodes on the 3-disc set are:
Treehouse of Horror XV
All's Fair in Oven War
Sleeping With The Enemy
She Used To Be  My Girl
Fat Man and Little Boy
Midnight Rx
Mommie Beerest
Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass
Pranksta Rap
There's Something About Mary
On a Clear Day I Cant' See My Sister
Goo Goo Gai Pan
Mobile Homer
The Seven-Beer Snitch
Future-Drama
Don't Fear the Roofer
The Heartbroke Kid
A Star Is Torn
Thank God It's Doomsday
Home Away from Homer
The Father, the Son and the Holy Guest Star

I've been a fan of The Simpsons ever since I saw the first episode (Simpsons Christmas Special) back in 1989 when I was an eight-year-old. Though the quality and humor has changed over the years, The Simpsons has become a culture phenomenon. I had forgotten about most of the episodes from the sixteenth season. Some of the outstanding episodes are: Tree House of Horror XV, Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass (aired at the Super Bowl), Goo Goo Gai Pan and Future-Drama, where Futurama's Bender makes a cameo. The picture-quality of the episodes on the Blu-ray looks great and there are plenty of features and extras to satisfy any fan. Overall, I had a blast reviewing The Simpsons: The Sixteenth Season Blu-ray and I recommend it everyone.
