Jason Voorhees Haunts Halloween Adventure

Today is October 1st, which officially kickoffs the countdown to Halloween, you know the holiday where kids dress up and go door to door asking for candy; and I guess there are a few adults who dress up and trick-or-treat along with their children or attend Halloween parties.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, though I never cared much for trick-or-treating (even when I was a kid), as I would rather decorate the house with spooky decorations and give away candy. Typically, I wear a Halloween theme t-shirt every year, but this year I'm looking to wear an actual costume.

The local department stores have a very small stock of costumes and very few are for adults. The internet is a great source to find costume stores that have a slue of costumes for adults.

What costume do I want?

Well, I'm a huge horror fan; therefore I want a horror themed costume from Halloween Adventure! There is nothing scarier than Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th films, so I picked out one of the costumes. I didn't trust the standard size (I was afraid it would be a little tight in the shoulders, so I ordered an x-large.)

The costume arrived by UPS within a few days of ordering it. The Jason Voorhees costume is nicely packaged in a plastic bag and included an EVA Mash and a jacket with an inset shirt. I easily slipped the jacket over a black t-shirt and slipped on the hockey mask, which looks a little bulky, but a standard size would have been too small. The hockey mask feels soft and is light weight, so you can keep it on a little longer than the heavy plastic ones. Overall, I'm impressed with the Jason Voorhees costume and I recommend others to hop on over to Halloween Adventure and browse their huge selection of costumes for kids and adults.

  1. Personally, I never got into the Friday the 13th movies, but Freddy Kreuger from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies freaked (okay, still freaks) me out.
