Review:
I've been trying to cutback on my reading and focus more on my writings, but I became interested in this anthology when I learned Mary Connealy and Robin Lee Hatcher were two of the authors, which I received a free copy from Litfuse Publicity Group and Thomas Nelson in exchange for my honest review.
The year is 1870 and four women, Mary-Jo, Ellie, Luvena, and IMegan, are looking for a second chance at life by becoming a mail-order bride, which the ads are placed in the Hitching Post Mail-Order Bride Catalogue.
In Margaret Brownley's And Then Came Spring, Mary-Jo Parker travels from Georgia to Kansas to marry a successful attorney, Daniel Garrett, only to arrive in time for his funeral. Here is another shocker; Daniel has a son, which he never mentioned in his letters to Mary-Jo. Her hope of getting married may not be over as the sheriff, who happens to be Daniel's brother, offers to marry her.
In Debra Clopton's An Ever-After Summer, widower Mathew McConnell is looking forward to meeting his future wife, which is until he learns Ellie Smith is a "Bible thumper" instead of a practical woman he had envisioned.
In Robin Lee Hatcher's Autumn's Angel, Clay had ordered a mail-order bride, so he would have someone to help run the opera house, but he is in for a shock when his bride-to-be, Luvena, arrives with her young nieces and nephew. Clay ordered a wife, not an entire family.
In Mary Connealy's Winter Wedding Bells, David is convinced that he is soon-to-die and orders a mail-order bride, Megan, so there would someone to raise his son after his passing.
I have read a few other mail-order bride historical romances, but A Bride For All Seasons is now my favorite, thanks to four great writers who have each woven together great characters and creative plots. I can't choose a favorite between them as they are all well-written. Overall, A Bride For All Seasons is a wonderful read and I recommend it other readers.

I genuinely cherish the thoughts and insights of my readers, and I wholeheartedly welcome your engagement. However, to foster a truly constructive dialogue, I’ll be keeping a careful eye on the comments section. This means I’ll be moderating to weed out any spammy detritus, overly harsh critiques, or contributions that don’t add anything meaningful to the conversation. Think of it as my little corner of the internet—a space where everyone can share their perspectives without the noise. Let’s make this a place where ideas can flourish and grow, rather than wither away in the shadows of irrelevance.
I think I might put this one on my reading list - I'm not a big romance fan, but I am definitely interested in the mail order bride aspect of this. :)
