I Want to Taste the Greatest Cup of Coffee

I'm not a morning person and I can't function properly without two cups of coffee. Caffeine can make some people become jittery or nervous, but for some strange reason it relaxes me, especially at night when I'm busy blogging, writing an article, or working on a short story. My favorite is Nescafe Clasico Dark Roast instant coffee, which I can go through a 7 oz. container a week.

This week has been busy and stressful as I'm catching up with books reviews and some freelance writing. In less than a week, there have been two snow storms with a total of over twelve inches. Of course, I had forgotten to buy more coffee and the stores were out of Nescafe, therefore I had to settle for Folgers Classic Roast instant coffee. Let's just say that Folgers instant coffee tastes exactly like any cheap instant coffee brand. In other words, it taste like dishwater.

I do own a coffee maker, actually I received it as a Christmas gift a few months ago, but I don't care for the coffee it makes. I don't know if it is the coffee maker or the coffee grounds I bought. I've checked out other machines in the stores and online, but I don't know which one makes the greatest cup of coffee.

I heard about this machine that is suppose to be the best automatic espresso machine. Has anybody tried it? It uses coffee capsules that you drop into the machine and it takes only 90 seconds to brew a fresh cup of java. There are several different models, Essenza, U, Pixie, CitiZ, Lattissima, Areoccino 3 and Maestra, which make espressos, lungos, ristretto, lattes and cappuccinos. I never had an espresso, a lungo or a ristretto before, but I've always wanted to try one.

So what is the best coffee or espresso maker to buy? What is the best coffee brand to buy? Leave your answers in the comment section as I’m curious to what everybody prefers more.

  1. After not finding a coffee that he really enjoyed, my husband started home roasting our coffee. We have a special machine, Spidem, that grinds the beans, makes the pod and puts water hot enough to get all the flavor out and give you a cup of coffee that has cremma on top. Roasted beans are only fresh for the first two weeks.

  3. I have not tried the machine you are looking at but i have a keurig now and it has been an experience finding what I like.. I like bag coffee vs the ground stuff in the can.. And its has been hit or miss finding the right flavor.

Good luck on your coffee search! I understand how important it is!

  4. I am a coffee lover too and I love espresso drinks. A perfect way to enjoy the taste of great cup of coffee at home is to have a coffee machine.
