Teagan Wyltson is living a typical average teenage life. She has a part-time job, great family and friends, and she does great in school. She even has a scholarship for college. Her life starts to change when her best friend, Abby, starts having strange dreams about Teagan being in danger, horrible creatures are after her.
A dream is just a dream. Right? That what Teagan thinks until the mysterious Finn Mac Cumhall arrives. Finn believes in goblins, and that Teagan is in danger. And did I mention that he is Teagan’s cousin. Goblins soon show up to wreck chaos upon Teagan’s life.
Tyger Tyger has a good premise, but it has slow pacing. I often got bored with the chapters. The main character, Teagan, is difficult to connect with. I liked the character, but I felt no depth to her through out the story. I thought the “Mag Hell” goblin war is a clever idea, but it did not save the novel. The author has created different types of goblins, which I generally liked, but the mythology just did not work for me. I give the author credit for not writing about vampires or werewolves. Overall, I did not care much for the novel.
