Review:

As promised, I'm featuring my review on book three of the Wild at Series, Fire & Ice, on Black Friday, though I'm technically writing this in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

This time the heroine is Bailey Wilde, the oldest sister of her family, who is slight depressed that all her sisters have gotten married and that she is still single (and lonely). With a long dreadful winter approaching, she finds a way to get Gage Coulter to marry her, which is somewhat an odd choice for husband as she previously pointing a gun to him.

It seems that there is five-thousand acres of great grazing land on a canyon, but Bailey's farmhouse happens to be located on it. Therefore, Bailey owns all the lush grass there, so that's the only reason why Gage would ever consider marrying her - to get complete control of the land.

Review:

One of my favorite genres to read over the last few years has been western-romances, so whenever I see any romance novels set in the 1800s, I automatically sign up to review it. One of my favorite authors who writes these kinds of books is Mary Connealy. During the summer, she released the second book int he Wild at Heart series, titled Now & Forever.

Set in the Dakota Territory/Idaho Territory Border in the year 1866, the novel centers on a tomboy named Shannon Wilde. She's the middle sister of her family who absolutely loves all animals. Along with her other two sisters, they were forced to join the Civil War disguised as men. She now has her own homestead and is raising sheep on her land. The last thing she ever wanted was a man, but that all changes when her path crosses with Matthew Tucker.

Matthew is a lost soul who went into the wilderness with the intention of getting away from the world, but after he almost bumps into a grizzly bear, the beautiful Shannon comes out of nowhere. She saves his life by jumping with him off of a cliff and into the Slaughter River. Before he can even breathe, he finds himself married to Shannon.

Review:

I received several books a month to review here on this blog. Most them don't get my immediate attention and the books end up being piled up until I find time to read them. However, there are a few authors that I do read right away and one of them happens to be Colleen Coble.

The fourth installment in the Journey of the Heart mini-series was released to bookstores this month. Unlike the previous novel that focused on Sarah Montgomery, this sequel switches the main character to Emmie Croftner - the sister to the first three installment's villain (Ben). Emmie thought she had the perfect life when she recently married an up-and-coming lawyer Monroe Courtney, well, that is until she received word of her husband's death. She's doesn't have much time to mourn before she learns of Monroe's debt he left behind and his little white lie - he's actually married to somebody else.

With nowhere to life and not much money, Emmie packs her bags and travels to Fort Laramie, Wyoming, hoping that her old friend Sarah Montgomery will take her in. While it's somewhat awkward at first, Sarah and Emmie rekindle their friendship. Then the unthinkable happens - Emmie learns that she's pregnant with Monroe's child.

Review:

Every since I started blogging, I have been exposed to many new and great authors, including Christian author Colleen Coble. This year, Thomas Nelson has been releasing her six-part Journey of the Heart series. I loved reading the first books in the series, A Heart's Disguise and A Heart's Obsession, so I was eagerly excited to read the third installment A Heart's Danger this morning.

Let me give you a quick update from the previous books. Sarah Montgomery had been raising her younger brother Joel and taking care of their ill father. She was in a relationship with Rand Campbell, but he was presumed dead during the Civil War. Eventually, she promised to marry Ben Croftner, but it turns out that Ben had lied about Rand being dead, so of course she dumped him. Rand returns to marry Sarah and take her with him to Wyoming, but Sarah won't leave her father's side, so Rand leaves her.

After her father's death, Sarah fears what life would be like for Joel in the hands of their older brother. She packs their bags and takes Joel to Fort Laramie, where Rand is stationed. To her surprise, Rand is already engaged to Jessica. To make things worse, Ben follows her to the fort.

A Heart's Danger finds Sarah's Indian friend, Morning Star, leaving the Fort and rejoining her people. Sarah tries to live a new life without Rand, but she cannot deny her feelings for him.

Review:

One of my favorite Christian authors is Colleen Coble, whom just released the second installment in her new 6-part series, Journey of the Heart, titled A Heart's Obsession.

Book One, A Heart's Disguise, left Sarah Montgomery in dismay as her thought-to-be-dead love, Rand Campbell, returned home with caused several issues for her suitor Ben Croftner, especially since Ben told everyone that Rand died in the war. Despite everything, Rand wanted her to go with him to Wyoming, but she denied his request. Feeling hurt and rejected, Rand leaves for Fort Laramie and promises himself that he'll never love again.

After tragedy strikes, Sarah and her younger brother Joel are left in the hands of their older brother Wade, who has major anger issues. Fearful of what will happened to Joel if they stay, Sarah packs their bags and takes Joel to Fort Laramie in the hope that she can patch things up with Rand. Shockingly upon arriving, Sarah learns that Rand is already engaged to another woman, but she isn't ready to give up just yet. Until Rand is officially married, she'll find a way to win back his heart.
