'Thief of Fate' is a Satisfying End to Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheet's Trilogy

Some may find this unusual but stay with me: I started reading Jude Deveraux's romances when I was young—far too young, in my view. My "mother's library" was full of historical romances, many by Jude Deveraux, and was where I turned when I got tired of reading the age-appropriate books I already owned. I don't recall my age, but let's assume I was nine or ten, so around 1990 or 1991. That was my first introduction to Deveraux's stories. Let's jump to the present when I've just read Thief of Fate, the third and final novel in Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets' Providence Falls Trilogy, which began with Chance of a Lifetime and Impossible Promise. The trilogy—like the Medlar Mysteries—bears little relation to Deveraux's Montgomery and Taggert novels—not even a distant relative.

[Review] - A Relative Murder by Jude Deveraux

It might seem strange that I'm reviewing a Jude Deveraux novel, but I grew up with the author's books. My mother was a fan of Deveraux's historical romances and kept the books on a homemade wooden bookcase in the living room of my childhood home. After running out of new books to read - I grabbed A Knight in Shining Armor off the shelf and read it. I believe I was a nine-year-old at the time. Yeah, I was probably a bit too young to be reading romances, but that was my introduction to Jude Deveraux.

[Review] - Meant To Be by Jude Deveraux

Published by Mira (Harlequin Books).

New York Times Bestselling Author Jude Deveraux released her newest romantic novel, Meant To Be, way back in early March. I, for one, was excited about this standalone title. For those who don't know me, let me give a quick history lesson. My mother was a big fan of Jude Deveraux's historical romances in the 1980s and early 1990s. At an early age, I read a few of my mother's Deveraux books. As an adult, I became a follower of Jude Deveraux's writings, which explains why I'm writing a review for Meant To Be.
