Billy's Answer
Once upon a time, I read lots, and lots, of romances - until I got sick of them. Since then, I switched to reading horror, mysteries, and science fiction, though, occasionally, I do read a bit of romance. My reading genres all depend on my moods.

I love to switch between genres. I do binge read fantasy sometimes but then I'll go back to something different.
ReplyDeleteI've been buying fantasy novels but haven't read them yet.
DeleteI read lots of different genres. When I was younger I read more romance than I do now.
ReplyDeleteThe romance market is way over-saturated. There are too many new authors and titles to keep with, and the plots have become too cliched.
DeleteI switch genres pretty much every time I pick up a new book to read. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. That's a way to mix things up.
DeleteI used to read contemporaries myself. Now after discovering paranormal and fantasy, I can't imagine ever reading one of those again!
ReplyDeleteHere's my BBH
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Paranormals and fantasies have more to offer than contemporaries.
DeleteI was very much a Thriller person. I have moved more into Romance, but am now trying to even it back out 🤣
ReplyDeleteEmily @ Budget Tales Book Blog
I love thrillers but rarely run across them in stores anymore.
DeleteI switch pretty much every time I pick up a new book :) I love variety!
ReplyDeleteThat's the way to go. It keeps your reading fresh.
DeleteI'm so into cozy mysteries right now I think one day maybe I'll get tired of them, but for now that's what I mostly read. Have a great day! :-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read a cozy mystery in a long time. For me, cozy mysteries are winter reads.
DeleteI read a lot of different genres, I don’t stick to just one.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy switching things up, although I do often fall back on my favorite genres.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge mood reader too - I eventually default back to chicklit or horror but will pretty much read anything except high fantasy. This summer seems to be filled with non-fiction and romance!
ReplyDeleteUmm.... I screwed up entering my name. Bummer. ::embarrassed:: Talking about genres, since I've been a member of LSBBT, I no longer read only action-type books. I've opened my bookish world to all kinds of genres, and it's like I'm reading in color for the first time! (Well, maybe not actual color, but y'all know what I mean.)
