"Well, what does it amount to? Machines. Complex, and organic, but not life."
page 56, Star Trek: Picard: The Last Best Hope by Una McCormack
Overdrive is awesome. Also see if your library has Hoopla, another source for ebooks and audiobooks.
ReplyDeleteI like reading Star Trek books but haven't tried any Picard ones yet. Enjoy!
I've never heard of Hoopla. I'll have to check if my library offers it.
DeleteThere's only one Picard novel out, though I do believe there are 3 comic books that were released prior to the new series.
As much as I liked Star Trek and its spinoffs I have never read one the books. I hope you enjoy this one. My Friday quotes and a review
ReplyDeleteThere's plenty of them to choose from as there are over 800+ Star Trek titles.
DeleteThis is the first time I'm hearing about this book. It seems like something I would like. Thanks for mentioning it. Enjoy your current read!
ReplyDeleteNot unless you're a diehard Star Trek fan, then you've probably haven't heard of the novel. Star Trek novels hardly ever get any media buzz. Once upon a time, you could find Star Trek titles just about anywhere that sold books, now it's hard to find them in stores.
DeleteI love Picard! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, stay safe!
Have you seen the new series? I binge-watched it last week. I have mixed feelings about it. I liked the concept but the scripts were badly written and the CGI was poorly done.
DeleteI've got to start watching this series!
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Always Me
There's currently a "free month" for new subscribers to CBS All-Access, which is how I had watched the series last week.
DeleteI wouldn't have survived without the internet for sure. Sad times we have going right now...
ReplyDeleteI loved watching a few Star Trek movies on TV last year, I need to pick it back up!

Seems like we're all relying on the internet more and more, especially with all the lockdowns. I'm in Missouri and the entire state will be on "stay-at-home" orders starting April 6th, which is not a big deal for me as my county has been locked-down for a week.
