Billy's Thoughts: Putting together a new Holiday Gift Guide hasn't been easy as I don't want to have too many similar products that I had already featured in the previous years. Plus, I was wanting to include something that would appeal to a variety of different age groups. After hearing about the non-fiction book Celebrating America’s National Parks, I eagerly wanted to review it.

Celebrating America’s National Parks is photography book featuring black & white photos of preserves, monuments, and recreations areas around the USA taken by Clyde Butcher. Each chapter contains beautiful photos along with a bit of history of where it was taken by author Donna F.G. Hailson.

The 33 total national parks, preserves, and monuments featured in the 192 page hardbound book are:

Yosemite National Park

I hate to admit this, but I'm not a big fan of photography books. I don't know exactly why that is, but it's something I've ever really been interested in. What caught my eye with the Celebrating America’s National Parks book was the gorgeous cover photo called "Moon Over Tetons." All the pictures are stunning, showcasing the great landscape of the country, and the "history" writings are well-written.

Overall, Celebrating America’s National Parks is a wonderful photography book that captures the great treasures of this country. It would make a great Christmas present for just about anyone, young or old.
